Recently, China High-Speed Railway Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CHSR), operator of Tianjin Metro Line 2, has reproduced the content of the program “City Express”, Tianjin TV, and widely publicized the heartwarming deed of Li Qingyan, a member of the Tianjin Project Department, the CSP Rail Division. On February 21, 2025, at about 4:00 p.m., Li Qingyan, one of our security inspectors, was on duty as usual at the security checkpoint at Exit C, the Changhong Park Station. With a keen eye, Li noticed an elderly female passenger stumbling and wandering on her feet in the security area. The passenger appeared confused and nervous, keeping slurring her words.
Li immediately put aside the work at hand, and walked quickly to the elderly passenger. She always keeps in mind that it is her duty as a security inspector to provide assistance to passengers in need. “Do you need help, ma’am?” She asked the elderly passenger politely, “Are you trying to enter the station? And you don’t know how to buy a ticket?” However, the lady continued to mumble and was unable to communicate normally. Realizing this exception, Li immediately activated the six-member linkage mechanism (designed to report to the director of the station and jointly deal with unexpected emergencies) and reported to the station head on duty through the radio handset.
After the station head on duty arrived on the scene, the lady stated that she wanted to use the toilet. At this time, Li volunteered and stated, “I’ll accompany the lady in case there is an accident.” She then carefully supported the elderly passenger, accompanied her into the station to find a toilet, and waited patiently outside the toilet until the elderly came out safely.
After learning more about the situation, the station head on duty immediately contacted the auxiliary police officers stationed at the station. After some detailed inquiries, the police successfully confirmed the identity and home address of the elderly. After that, the police arranged for the station staff to accompany the elderly home with Li. When traveling to the exit, they happened to meet the family of the elderly who arrived after being notified by the police. Finally, they worked together to get the elderly safely to her family.
Li responded appropriately at every step of the way, from recognizing the elderly’s unusual condition, to assisting in solving the problem, and then to participating in accompanying the elderly home. Li’s story fully demonstrates the excellent results of the daily training of the Group’s project department. During the training sessions, our security inspectors have not only mastered security inspection skills, but also gained a deep understanding that serving passengers and caring for special populations is a key part of their job. They are able to respond calmly and appropriately when faced with emergencies.
Li’s heartwarming deed highlights the social responsibility that the Rail Division of CSP has always adhered to. The Rail Division always gives top priority to safeguarding passenger safety and providing quality services, and actively encourages the staff to care for the disadvantaged. Li’s story has vividly illustrated the service philosophy of CSP. Through her actions, Li has made the CSP people’s commitment to be seen, and truly brought care to passengers during their travels.
The scene at Exit C of the Changhong Park Station constitutes only a small piece of all heartwarming stories of CSP. In the future, CSP will continue to strengthen staff training, so that every employee is able to pass on love in their work and to contribute to the cause of more caring and convenient urban transportation.
